ExpectationsSt. Jane de Chantal CYO programs are open to all children of our parish (grades K to 12th), students of our school, and alumni currently in high school. Above all, you will give the children a Christ-centered approach to sports, coach with fellow parents and volunteers who love the game and teaching the kids, and have fun in the process!
These days spent on the field or course or gym or track are days they will always remember, and so will you. ApproachOverall, we want the kids to have a positive experience playing sports, to learn and improve, and want them to return the following year to play again. With that in mind, your job is to:
And Pray. This is the CYO, so open or close each practice and game with a prayer. It could be a Hail Mary or an Our Father, or just off the cuff, but remember to welcome Christ into their day and into their play.
Roster, Schedules, and EquipmentNo matter the sport, rosters, game scheduling, and equipment will be provided. Practice scheduling is coordinated with you prior to release to families.
UniformsGame uniforms will be provided to you for distribution prior to the start of the season. Participants of the clinics are able to keep the shirts we provide, but all other game uniforms must be washed, collected, and returned to the CYO at the close of the season. This is an extremely important step as uniforms are reused year after year.
Volunteer Today! We can't do it without you, so Volunteer to Coach/Help today! Thank you!
