Cross-Country Fall 2023 Sports RegistrationFor girls and boys interested in running Cross-Country, during Fall 2023 the St. Jane de Chantal CYO will again be participating in a the Archdiocesan CYO Cross-Country program. Because we LOVE running and want to share out love of the sport with your children, we welcome all skill levels from the new to the seasoned runner and have a place for every child to reach their fitness and competitive goals while representing their school and having fun. The first two practices will be "try-it" practices for new runners to come out and sample the sport as well as provide an opportunity for our seasoned runners to get together and catch up in a relaxed environment. WE NEED COACHES! For this fun and rewarding experience, enjoying running (rather than speed) is the number one qualification. Responsibilities include corralling, motivating, keeping track of runners, running at the back of the pack, helping with first aid, and sharing the excitement of the sport. Good CYO coaches are welcoming, enjoy children, and exude patience and a smile. If you are interested, please e-mail Catie Skibo, catherine.skibo@gmail.com. We have a particular interest in coaches for Fall 2023 K-5th grade, but welcome others as well. Since you must be VIRTUS certified and have taken required Archdiocesan CYO training courses before coaching, please contact us ASAP so we can ensure you fulfill all the requirements.
